Theresa May's revised Brexit deal has been defeated in the House of Commons as MPs voted against it by 391 to 242, despite last minute assurances over the Irish backstop.
The last time Mrs May's withdrawal agreement was put to Parliament in January, it was voted down by 432 to 202.
With May’s plan rejected, a vote about leaving the UE without a deal will take place Wednesday and if not approved, on Thursday the Parliament will decide on a Brexit extension.
Markets remain quiet after the vote. As of writing PM May is delivering a statement at the Parliament.
